Precut Kits?
Kaleidascopes can take hours to arrange and properly cut.
They're fascinating to look at. Even more fun to sew the pieces together into each block. We can't wait to see what the next one will look like!
We didn't find many members anxious to lay out and cut one, though. It takes a while to find the right fabric and a lot more planning before the cuts are made. Even a few of our "professional" level readers were grabbing the pre-cut versions we found last year because they're so much fun to work with. Unfortunately the reports were about 50-50 on the quality of the fabric supplied in the kits.
We aren't running those items in our Resources list until someone finds a source of kits that they're happy with.
If one of the experienced quilters out there would like to take us through the whole concept from scratch, we'd love to have your input (and lots of photos!). There are several of us who would like to venture into this eye-catching style.
